FAQ

Clear answers on packages, timelines, revisions, ownership, care plans, and SEO for Melbourne local businesses.

Before you start

Which website package should I choose?

Choose based on page count, content volume, and features. Starter ($499) suits a focused one-page presence; Business ($999) suits up to about 8 pages with richer structure; Custom ($2,500) suits bookings, ecommerce, or integrations. We review your needs first, then recommend a fit.

Are there costs beyond the quoted package price?

Sometimes. Domain registration, hosting, paid plugins, or third-party subscriptions may apply. We list any extras before work starts and do not add surprise fees mid-project.

Is the monthly care plan required, and what does it include?

No. Care is optional at $49/month (AUD). You can manage the site yourself, or choose care for small text/image updates, basic theme and plugin updates, form and link checks, backups, security checks, uptime checks, and general technical support. New pages, full redesigns, new features, and ongoing SEO campaigns are outside basic care.

What do I need to prepare, and what if I have no copy or photos?

Usually your business name, logo, services, contact details, hours, address, photos, and any reference sites. Incomplete materials are fine to start — we can help shape a basic page framework from what you have. Full copywriting, professional translation, photography, or brand design are separate and confirmed only if needed.

Can I keep my domain or old website, and will a refresh hurt my Google rankings?

Yes, you can keep your domain and migrate useful content from an old site. Rankings can change during a rebuild. We review indexed pages, keep important URLs where practical, and set redirects to reduce SEO risk. No rebuild can guarantee the same rankings.

Who owns the website after it is finished?

After project fees are paid in full, you own the agreed website deliverables, your domain, and your customer accounts. Third-party fonts, plugins, platforms, and licensed assets remain under their own licenses.

During the build

What is the process after we start?

Confirm scope and package, complete payment, submit materials, design and build, share a first draft, revise within the included rounds, then launch.

When does the delivery timeline start?

The clock starts after we receive payment and the materials needed to build. Starter drafts are typically ready in 3 business days; Business around 7 business days; Custom timelines depend on scope.

What is included in the first draft?

The first draft is a full working direction based on the agreed brief — layout, style, and content presentation — not a wireframe sketch. You review it before final launch.

How do revision rounds work, and what is out of scope?

One organised batch of feedback counts as one revision round. Bundle text, images, colours, and layout notes together. New pages, new features, reversing an approved direction, heavy copy rewrites, or rebuilding the structure usually sit outside normal revisions and need a new estimate.

Can I add features mid-project, and what if materials or feedback are delayed?

Yes, additions are possible after we assess cost and timeline impact and you approve. If materials or feedback arrive late, work pauses and the delivery date moves until we have what we need.

Can I preview the site before it goes live?

Yes. You get a preview to check copy, images, contact details, buttons, links, and layout before we publish.

After launch

Can I update the site after launch, and what if something breaks?

Yes. You can edit via the CMS if available, request one-off changes, or use the optional care plan. Technical issues inside the original delivery scope are investigated; new features, third-party platform changes, or later development need a separate estimate.

How soon will my site show up on Google?

Indexing usually takes days to a few weeks, depending on the domain, content, and crawl schedule. Launch plus basic SEO is only the start — rankings also depend on competition, location, content quality, Google Business Profile, and ongoing work. No reputable studio can guarantee a fixed date or homepage ranking.

Are website and search visibility prices in AUD?

Yes. All package prices on this site are in Australian dollars (AUD), including website builds, care plans, and search visibility packages.

What is Launch vs Local search visibility?

Launch ($699+) is a one-off setup to audit and fix Google and AI visibility foundations after a new site or refresh. Local ($799/mo+) is ongoing monthly work for Melbourne businesses — content updates, monitoring, and enquiry-path checks. Growth ($1,800/mo+) suits multi-location or competitive niches.
