Questions Customers Ask Before Hiring a Physiotherapist — and How to Answer Them on Your Website

The six questions people in pain right now ask before hiring a physiotherapist — licence, price, timing, area and two trade-specific ones — and how to answer each on the page so search engines and AI assistants can use it.

Your phone is a research tool for customers who could not find answers on your site. Listen to what they ask in the first minute and you have your FAQ. For physiotherapy clinics, the list is remarkably consistent — and it is worth answering in writing, because AI assistants now read those answers too.

Where the questions come from

They come from your phone log and from search: physio near me, physio for lower back pain [your suburb], does physio take HICAPS. For two weeks, write down every question a caller asks before booking. You will have the list below, in your customers' own words.

1. Are you licensed and insured?

Answer with specifics on the page, not a promise: AHPRA registration and professional association membership and HICAPS, Medicare EPC, NDIS and WorkCover acceptance stated plainly. Put it under the headline and again beside the contact form.

2. How much will it cost?

List consultation fees, gap estimates and what funding you accept. Patients in pain do not want to phone to ask about money. A range with the factors that move it is an answer; "contact us for a quote" is not.

3. How soon can you do it?

State your response time for urgent jobs and your typical lead time for planned work, and keep it current in busy weeks. People would rather hear "two weeks" than nothing.

4. Do you cover my suburb?

Name the suburbs you genuinely serve on the service pages and match them to your Google Business Profile. A vague 'all areas' reads as 'probably not mine'.

5. Should a physio clinic list prices?

Yes. Initial and standard consultation fees plus funding options remove the biggest hesitation before booking.

6. Do I need a page per condition?

For the six to ten conditions you treat most, yes. Each page should explain what the first session involves and typical recovery.

Where the answers live

Three or four of these under each service page, and the full set on an FAQ page. Mark them up with FAQ structured data so search engines and AI assistants can read each question and answer directly. Answer in the first sentence, then add detail.

Why this matters more now

AI answers in Google and tools like ChatGPT assemble replies from text that already answers a question plainly. A physiotherapist whose site says exactly what it costs, who it serves and how soon is the one that gets quoted. Nobody can guarantee a mention; clarity is what makes one possible.

Common questions

What should be on my homepage?

What you do, who you help, where you work and how to contact you, all visible on a phone screen without scrolling. Everything else supports those four points.

Will a new website guarantee Google rankings?

No one can guarantee rankings, and anyone who does should be avoided. A well-structured site with honest local content and a complete Google Business Profile gives you the best foundation; results depend on competition and time.
